Getting Started: Desktop Icon Installation Instructions

Introducing the Davie icon for your desktop! Just go to davie.unc.edu to access the Davie Portal. You can click and drag the icon located directly to the left of the Davie Portal address (https://davie.unc.edu) onto your desktop. Depending on which browser you use, the icon might look a little different:

In Firefox it’s the globe:

In Internet Explorer it’s the Davie icon:

In Chrome it’s a blank page:

Can’t see any desktop when your browser window is up? To create desktop space, double click on the gray space above the address field in your browser until you can see your desktop around the edge of your browser window.

Then click and drag the icon to your desktop. Done!
